UCLH Proton Beam Therapy Study Day

Do you want to learn more about the UK’s national Proton Beam Therapy (PBT) Service? This one day educational event held will cover the UK’s national PBT strategy, explain the differences between PBT and radiotherapy, outline the patient pathway and support patients receive on treatment and the clinical outcomes of PBT. We will also cover the different clinical trials open or upcoming in the service and you will get the opportunity to see the PBT machines.

Join us for an in-depth introduction to the UK’s national Proton Beam Therapy (PBT) strategy, designed for professionals working in oncology and radiotherapy. This interactive day will explore the key differences between PBT and conventional radiotherapy, walk through the patient pathway and support services, and highlight clinical outcomes and current PBT trials. Attendees will also have the rare opportunity to tour the PBT facility and see the machines in action.

Lunch is included. Kindly funded by UCLH Charity Cancer Fund.  Please advise dietary requirements when registering. 

No prior knowledge of PBT is required, but a basic understanding of radiotherapy is expected.
