TRACCS: When things are not clear: Unpicking complexity when working with young people's health

The Treatment and Rehabilitation of Adolescents and Children with Complex Conditions service (TRACCS) at UCLH are hosting an in person one day conference. This day is aimed at those who manage the complex mind and body health needs of young people and attendance is a must for all professionals working with young people with persistent and challenging symptoms such as Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), ME/CFS and/or similar conditions.

TOPICS & WORKSHOPS:​

  • How to start, work and manage uncertainty in complex cases​
  • How to navigate challenging conversations with young people and their families. ​
  • Hearing young people’s stories around education provision with an expert patient panel​
  • Spotlight lectures on ME/CFS, FND, Dysautonomia and Hypermobility and the interconnectedness of all these diagnoses.​
  • Practical workshops on learning how best to manage and support young people with what you may already have and what is good enough.​
  • Understanding how a trauma informed approach can help with formulating and reflecting on complex and challenging cases.  ​
