A one-day course designed for emergency medics, general practitioners and acute medics working in the UK system. This course provides a comprehensive overview of the management of neurosurgical emergencies in the ED, ward or community before the patient is safely transferred to the surgeons! The day will include didactic lectures and practical hands-on simulation workshops.

How to approach and assess the neurosurgical patient | Interpreting neurosurgical imaging | Referring to neurosurgery | Diagnosing and managing emergencies such as trauma, cauda equina syndrome and subarachnoid haemorrhage | Practical procedures | Paediatric patients.
