GAIT COURSE: Assessment and Management of Walking in Adults with Neurological Deficit: A Focus on Adjuncts to Optimise Gait

This one-day lecture-based course will provide therapists with an overview of gait assessment and adjuncts to support adults with neurological deficits. Assessment and management is focused on the lower limb.

Normal gait biomechanics will be discussed in relation to neurological impairments with case studies. There will be an introduction to adjuncts including orthotics, FES and pharmacological management for the optimisation of gait and clinical reasoning for their use.

Fee: £150 including lunch and refreshments
