FINE 1 Training Course
This 2-day multidisciplinary course introduces the scientific evidence, theory and practical implications of infant and family centred developmental care.
From: Wed 11 Feb 2026
To: Thu 12 Feb 2026
Who is the course for?
FINE 1 is essential for everyone working in neonatal services, those that are just starting out and experienced practitioners looking for new ideas and inspiration.
Curriculum
At the heart of the programme is an understanding of how the core principles and evidence supporting neurodevelopmental care can be applied in daily practice by every member of the neonatal team. Over the two days there will be lectures on topics including neurodevelopment, stress and pain, supporting families, sensory and motor development and feeding. Videos will be used for behavioural observation. The days will be interactive with practical sessions on therapeutic interventions including nesting, positioning, skin to skin and pain management.
Impact
The impact of FINE 1 is particularly powerful when a high volume of staff attends as part of a strategic plan to integrate infant and family-centred developmental care.
Cost
£420 per person. Lunch, refreshments and reading materials are included in the cost.
