Communication challenges faced by cancer research practitioners in looking after cancer trial patients (November 2024)

The Cancer Clinical Trials Unit (CCTU) at UCLH is hosting an in-person workshop titled ‘Communication challenges faced by cancer research practitioners in looking after cancer trial patients’ on Friday, 8 November 2024.

This workshop is specifically designed for clinical trial practitioners who wish to enhance their communication skills and receive stronger support in their roles caring for cancer trial patients.

In this highly interactive, on-site workshop, participants will explore patient perceptions of cancer, communication challenges in trials, the unique responsibilities of cancer research practitioners, and strategies for preventing burnout. Through dynamic group exercises and open discussions, participants will gain practical techniques for effective communication with cancer trial patients and self-care.

To ensure a focused and relevant experience, this workshop is exclusively open to clinical trials practitioners (CTPs) and clinical research practitioners (CRPs) within NHS Trusts.
