CCU skills afternoon Chest Drain Course
Course designed for critical care docs, anaesthetists and medics. Afternoon course with lectures from Thoracic surgical team discussing indications, techniques, troubleshooting and complications followed by practical sessions. Enabling practice at both surgical and seldinger techniques.

Teaching to cover chest drain insertion for those expected to do it as a medical emergency. Will take place in the Bay 5 education suite in critical care with practical sessions using multiple simulators. Ideal for those new to chest drains and those who want a refresher. Ideal for critical care professionals, but open to our anaesthesia and medical colleagues. Priority in spaces given to those who are registrars or ACCS trainees in UCLH critical care at present but please email me if you are keen to come and our other group is not full.
