
Assessment and Management of Walking in Adults with Neurological Deficit: A Focus on Adjuncts to Optimise Gait 2025
This course consists of two components: a full day of lecture-based learning and a half day practical learning. Due to the nature of the workshops, participants must have attended day one, and numbers are limited for this component.

Day one: lecture-based learning providing therapists with an overview of gait assessment in adults with a neurological disorder, and an introduction to adjuncts to support adults with neurological deficits including orthotics, FES and pharmacological management for the optimisation of gait and clinical reasoning for their use. Assessment and management is focused on the lower limb.
Day two (morning only): workshops around gait assessment, opportunity to have hands on learning around some of the adjuncts from day one using patient videos; demonstrations; case studies and group discussion.
Day one of this in-person course will be accessible remotely for those who cannot attend in person.
