Advancing Practice in Malignant and Non-Malignant Haematology & Stem Cell Transplant Care

Following the success of our first masterclass, UCLH is delighted to launch the second instalment in this popular series for experienced haematology nurses (Band 6 and above) aspiring to advanced practice roles such as Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) or Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP). Building on the foundations covered in Series 1 — diagnosis, treatment pathways, and nurse-led service development — this masterclass goes deeper into the complexities of transplant care, taking delegates from autologous and allogeneic transplant through to the non-malignant conditions increasingly managed within haematology services today.

Day One focuses on malignant disease and stem cell transplantation, covering everything from autologous transplant for lymphoma and myeloma through to allogeneic and haploidentical transplant, donor services, viral reactivation, and GVHD. Day Two turns to non-malignant haematology, an area of growing importance for advanced practitioners, covering red cell transplant, primary immunodeficiency, gene therapy, and CAR-T for multiple sclerosis — alongside a powerful patient experience session to close the series.

Target Audience: Band 6 nurses or above who are interested in or aspiring to become a CNS or ANP, with at least 12 months haematology experience

• Explore emerging areas of practice such as CAR-T for autoimmune disease
• Hear directly from patients about their lived experience of transplant and non-malignant conditions
