This one-day course delivered by experts in the field will provide clinicians with an enhanced understanding of spasticity, the many interventions available to manage it and current research. The course will be of broad reaching interest, for all doctors, nurses and allied health professionals who meet patients with spasticity. The course aims to assist clinicians with practical translation of the evidence into high quality clinical care for the individual. We will address assessment, physical and pharmacological management, botulinum toxin, intrathecal therapies and the importance of managing triggers and education. We will feature a session regarding management of the acutely ill patient and the agenda will be supported fully by practical case examples. There will be opportunities for open dialogue with speakers and time to network with colleagues working with similar client groups.
